About

Resist • Dismantle • Reimagine

The Equity Studies Student Union (ESSU) is a student-run course union that represents the Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity program, supporting students in exploring course concepts while dealing with world issues. ESSU functions to promote the program as well as provide a voice and resource for our membership, individually and as a collective. We work to promote activism among the student body and create links with equity groups within the community.

Arts and Science students on the St. George campus enrolled in the Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity program (major or minor) or enrolled in a minimum of 1 CSE course will be permitted to vote and run in ESSU elections and vote in general meetings. However, membership is not exclusive, and there are no membership fees. Anyone from the University community is welcome to attend our events.
